I'm guessing it's a Discovery, is it 1,2,3 or 4? petrol or diesel? what year is it?
Have you declared and aftermarket immobiliser/alarm? if not they should be able to tell from the reg what's fitted as standard!!!

Never had a problem with any insurance company regarding the vehicles security system fitted, if you go on linethere's a box to tick "manufactures fitted system" or similar wording so just go on-line and apply and also grab a discount...

I'm sensing by Devlin's wording that he's already bought a Direct Line policy and now the sneaky monkeys are making him jump through hoops. If I'm wrong, though, then just strike them off your list. As discool says, there are plenty of insurers who don't require sworn testimony and photos of devices fitted.

Be careful here. If it is Jap reimport they did NOT have the standard LR system fitted.
I had to get an immobilser fitted complying with a Thatcham nunber.Can't remember which now.When i enquired about why not fitted to export cars the answer from LR was "not needed"

Yes it's a transfer onto the land rover I have two months remaining on the policy I intend getting a better deal than what I have been landed with, £18.00 admin fees I have my business and home insurance with them so I have some sort of a bargaining position,
