Base looks a bit deep.
but always worth a try.
note seat belt socket is connected to base.

The seats from an RX8 are a good fit and quite straightforward.
So are the ones supplied and proginally Fitted by Land Rover. Most complaints about them is Because they are worn out. The original defender seat in good condition for a reputable supplier is very comfortable provides the ideal driving position for a defender. And also allows all the access to Battery etc that Land Rover intended.

Agree. I’ve got standard Land Rover seats in my 90. The RX8 seats are also very comfortable and considering they’re non standard, fit with relative ease, hence my suggestion.

They look very comfortable. I have leather RX8 seats in my Ninety bolted to raised rails...the set up works superbly.

You'll need to measure off existing mounting holes to the mounting rails of the F-type seats first and to measure seat position and sizing all round to see if they'll fit.

Suggest removing the existing seats, drop in the F-type's on to the seat box and get an idea of how well they'll fit checking for central positioning, fore-aft movement, seat base to your head height when located and above all...width, as the Landy cockpit is quite narrow + check door closure when seats located.

Then measure off the height needed to mate the existing seat base holes to the F-type runners - here, you'll need to make up correctly sized and drill seat runner-to-base rails. It's not a difficult thing to do.

Do keep us all updated as these F-type seats could prove a viable option alongside the RX8 seats for future owners who'd like a more modern seat. Good luck.
