Seats

I have a few 110 Defenders all could do with seat upgrades.
I’m not interested in bucket seats having a slightly wider then a matchstick side arse (that is a perfect counterbalance for the large belly)
Would like a bit of comfort on the long drives but don’t want to slide all over the place off-roading or do I just go for new foam and recover my old seats
What have you fitted

I have the standard Exmoor trim seats. They are better than standard seats, but not exceptional. I don’t have any complaints about them. I think the Puma seats are much more comfortable, but I didn’t want to pay the ridiculous price of them.

I replaced my 90 seats with 2nd hand (very) Citroen BX seats, lots of foam - give an extra layer of suspension - cloth, so warm in winter/non sweaty in summer, easy to fit with a home made adapter rail, and even better the squab is separate.
Best of all €20 for the two.

I would get the exmoor retrim kits and replace the foams and covers. That is what I am about to do with mine. I find the standard original seats very comfortable if (big if) they are in good condition. For me (110kg) a seat base last about 60k before it needs replacing due to wear and tear but they are not expensive and the backs last a lot longer. I f you did a complete refurb I think you would be surprised at how good the original seats are. They are designed for the vehicle and its use, and most importantly are designed to come out easily so you still have access to the battery etc under the seat!.

Has anyone fitted disco 2 front seats in defender.
If anyone has was it worth the hassle of fitting
