More info and maybe pics of what your doing would help any advice

Where is best place to buy a seat belt outrigger from? and I take it you cant just buy the end piece where the seat belt bracket bolts on can you?

Defender 200 and the tube that comes out of the chassis and has a bracket on the end for the seat belt to bolt too.

could ya just make and replace the end piece that the seat belt anchors to? if so how did you make yours? have you any pics please?

You could but would need to sleeve it so it's stronger than just butting 2 bits of pipe together. I just welded some pipe into the chassis (it goes right through the chassis rail) then cut out, drilled and folded the bracket on the end and welded it on. It should be in my build thread, there's a link to it in my signature.

As has been said though, it may be better for you to purchase a replacement part.

So you couldn't just carefully cut the seat belt anchor bit off and get a piece of box section and chop to shape and weld on?

You could but it would need to be right as it's a safety concern. Providing the pipe part of it is sound you could use a piece of box but the whole bracket will need to be one piece, just cutting the top off and adding another bit on is no use, in a crash it will just break the weld. You will also need a decent wall thickness, if I remember right 50x50 box is too small as the O/D of the pipe is 48mm.
