Do they make any difference in very hot temperatures? Are there any suppliers for this kind of grille? Has anyone got one?

Im not aware of a different spec, there are several differnt after market types though that allow increased airflow. Making sure your rads are clear really helps so does the type of coolant used.
 
I always keep the radiator extra clean but mud and a hot climate means the temp tends to rise. What can you do to improve engine cooling?
 
You could look at chageing the fans you currently use, check whats the best coolant type, a 2nd rad although extreme could be an idea worth looking into.
 
What do you bunch think about drilling holes in the bonnet or raising it slightly to increase airflow? Or is that a blonde idea?
