All my bits turned up in the week so had a pleasant morning fitting the new swivel and stub axle.

All went to plan? nice to get bits sorted in one hit like that :)

I had it all stripped and cleaned up during the week, only one small hiccup when putting the track rod end back on the nut went on half way and seized solid for some reason, managed to pick one up at a local car spares shop so all good

Looks good,

did you buy it as a kit, or separate parts? I am currently looking to locate all the parts I need

Cheers.

Bought a complete kit from Tim Fry Land Rovers, cheapest i could find and free delivery if you spend over 50 quid and delivered in a couple of days, mine was a Britpart one but needed quick and cheap so going to see how it goes, must say it all went together easily so fingers crossed.

Looks like ya miles better with a spanner than a camera :D

Well, done, mate. Smart looking job.

Ha ha yeah, they looked all right on the phone, posted em up here a thought o s**t their bloody awful
Trouble is every time i do a job on it i find another, the pistons on the front brake calipers look crap, quite a bit of corrosion so will need to overhaul them pretty soon, ah well never a dull moment.

I did my calipers recently. Cost £40 to have them shot blasted and powder coated. Then bought a set of stainless pistons and seals from LR Direct.

I made an electrolysis tank when i done the brakes on my boys MG so will probably use that again as it done a brilliant job and just paint them, i like the sound of stainless pistons though, a bit of future proofing.
