i have a l322 vogue 2002 and my stereo wont switch on the nav works and the tv but no orange light wen i switch on radio any help cheers

i had the same problem it ended up as water getting in to rear amp rotting the rear plugs i took it to a car radio centre who had to strip out and rewire the amp which took 7 hrs and cost me 200 pounds but was still cheaper that renewing amp and wiring which i had quotes of 800 pounds upwards

Thanks Dopey, I have checked the fuses under the driver's seat. Didn't realise there were more for Sat Nav under the bonnet, I'll try there now. It was definitely 12v, one of those portable jumper things you get for £20 from the cheap shop, which has a light & compressor in it as well. Just a bit worried it has blown one of the magic computers that cost at least £300 & you can only get from a dealer. I'll let you know what happens next.

where/what number is the sat nav fuse under bonnet ?....my hand book only lists those under seat ?.....thanks

Hello all, I was reading the posts and I have the exact same problem. I am also wondering if there is a way to fix it yourself and also which fuses could need to be checked. I have a 2001 RR HSE in America. Its got a white screen and low volume radio. I can't afford to buy a replacement so any help woul greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

I have checked the fuses under the seat and they are fine. Don't know which to check under the bonnet.

There's a guy who advertises on eBay in the uk who can fix MkIII P38 sat navs for about £75. From memory he's based in Eastern Europe somewhere.

I was planning on using his services but I had a MkII which are archietecturally different. I ended up buying a refurbished MkIII unit. You can pick these up for about £300.

Battery should not be disconnected until the red light on the sat nav drive has gone out - usually 2 minutes after ignition is switched off. I have an addendum in my booklet that states this. Otherwise the drive can be fried. Just worth a comment:)

I have a problem with my radio/satnav display the screen comes up with the landy emblem but stays on so the radio only plays for a short time then i switch off and on and it plays again for a short time It seems the radio sat nave still thinks it is the engine off mode, sometimes it comes back on on its own. is there a relay some where to pulse up the screen.. It is a 2002 4.4 vogue.

Look at the electronics in the left hand rear quarter of the boot and check for wet aqnd corroded connectors. It's been covered many times.
You would have done better to start a new thread.
