Sat nav problem!!

Hello, well I am still getting used to what things are in our l322 (had it 2 weeks now ) its a late 2005 with touch screen sat nav, the problem is, the sat nav comes on when it likes and goes off after about 30 secs to a minute, I don't think its a wiring problem as im sure it wouldn't come on at all, so im wondering would it just be a case of buying a new sat nav disc? Everything else works on the screen perfect ! I would be grateful for some help or advice.

Have a look in the back cubbyholes (can’t remember which side) and check everything for water.
Then tell us what you find.

I have checked in the back cubby hole for damp and water etc, but it is bone dry, which made it more of a puzzle !!

Have a look at a few of the connections.

Maybe dry now (it’s summer)

yeah that's a good point about being dry as its summer, I have checked connections, I think I will just go ahead and but another disc, im sure its gotta be that, if it isn't at least when I get it sorted I will have a new disc!! Thanks for your suggestions too, appreciate it.

Go for a new disc it won’t hurt.
But if it goes on/off when it likes, cant see the old disc being a problem.

I can't see the disc being the problem, it's usually water in the electronics/corroded connectors behind the nearside rear trim. Sometimes it's hard to see the corrosion between the pins, but it only takes a trace to play havoc.
