they operate as any normal braked trailer, there braked cus there capable of carrying more than 750kgs

as yer stop at the lights the trailer is pushed towards the back of yer LR, the draw bar pushes the brake mechanism that activates the brakes on the trailer, as you pull away the brakes are released, as speed picks up , other wise, the trailer WILL push you in the traffic, as its 750 kg an over its required, and is a life saver , i kno, ;)

as fer so much ?? £150 max !

yer need a good nato hitch

Why are Sankey trailers so much and how come they have brakes ? How do the brakes connect to the towing vehicles brakes ?
I have a series 3 and fancy a trailer is this a good option ?

Our son has just bought a Sankey Army Kitchen trailer, we collected it on Monday from up near Doncaster.

They are very good mechanically, the chassis underneath ours is very high quality (it's a Mk3) the 3/4 ton is the Payload, not the gross weight so it has a 1.5ton gross approximately, the empty trailer is much lighter.

Apart from a new pair of secondhand tyres and rewiring the plug to suit our own vehicles (and changing the bulbs to 12V!) it towed back home superbly, we are all very pleased with it.

We made an adaptor plate for our Disco 2, so we could bolt the correct NATO coupling onto it. By some good luck it was almost exactly the right height and the trailer was level.

it's obligatory to park like that at Wicks

Dunno about £150 max price, suppose it depends on where ye live.
