Sankey axle straps/cables

I'm replaceing the wire cables that go under the axles on my Sankey, and yes its a pig but the old ones had turned to dust. Can someone tell me the gap between the axle and the tube with the cable in?
And yes I should have measured it before I cut them off........

I'll fess up, I forgot to look. I WILL look on Wednesday unless someone has got back to you before then

Thanks, I've done a quick fix with a 2" gap, its a right faff. I had to cut the tubes off to the get old cable out then weld them back together, cut the swaged ends open and for now I've put the new cable in and put rope clamps on the swaged parts to clamp the new cable. That's why I can change it later. The clamps I used turned out to be poor quality (DIY grade) so I'll have to re-do it anyway. I got a rough measure off the section drawing in the manual but it doesn't say whether its loaded or unloaded.
