Freelander 1 sandblasting standard alloys

Had an idea today to sand blast the original alloys an get them polished up to come up a nice chrome an was wondering if anyone had done it? Or is there a reason not to do it?

don't blast them. chemical clean and the have them buffed.
there is plenty of youtubes to help you, here is 1 of many if you search

Cheers mate, funny you said that as when i started looking into it it all seems people recommend the acid bathing an it is pretty reasonable too an you can change the colour to your liking so black alloys it will be
