Salisbury Plain Wild Camping?

Heading down to the plains on the weekend for some laning, looking to camp on Sat night. I think there are a few places you are allowed to camp but I also know a lot of it is off limits.

Anyone done a bit of wild camping on the plains before? Any suggestions on where to go?

Afraid not, but if you do don't camp near any tank tracks or you could end up getting rudely awoken by 70 tons of tank hurtling at you in the dark!

There's a good campsite in Tilshead.

You can't wild camp on any area of SPTA

I've used the campsite in Tilshead as well, it's nice, friendly and not cliquey

Cheers boys! Weve got a campsite booked now, read in many places camping is not allowed without permission from the Range Officer, which is unlikely!
