I've been dreaming of a trip to Morocco after reading the expedition forum, I've been making do watching some Ray Mears and Michael Palin for the moment though.
This trip really sparked my interests especially the relatively minor mods to the disco they used. Then last night watching Ray Mears where he was giving a bit of a driving lesson, showing you how to dig the car out etc he was in a standard 110 Defender, fair enough he had lots of kit with him but the Defender was unmodified. Same again today watching Michael Palin, no mods.
Seems that for that sort of trip all you'd really want to do is go on steel wheels instead of alloys in case a rock jumps at you and take spare filters cos it's dusty and that but that clamping new bits on to any space you can find would just really be for show.
