Whoops, accidentally posted the thread before I finished typing in the thread. My question is "are those roof headlining repair kits that are advertised on eBay any good" as the headlining cloth on my RR has come away and is sagging down and It needs fixing before winter sets in. With those kits do you throw the old headlining away and stick on the new headlining?

Quite a few on here have used kits from Martrim with good results. I need to do mine as the headlining at the rear is now propped up by the dog guard. Surprising how quickly it sags as mine was absolutely fine earlier this year.

Thanks Martyn, I'll probably get the kit and get the job done, it's something I've been putting off for a while as I've had loads of other jobs that needing doing. Wife's recently tripped and broke her arm so I've had even more to do with her out of action, fortunately it was her left arm so she can still do the ironing herself and the hoovering!

Thanks guys, I've just read Dopey's 'How To' fix, really impressive and well done with all the photos and script he's done so I reckon I'll get a Martrim kit and set a day aside and get the job done, thanks again.

I know the feeling. Anytime I want to treat mine to a a little cosmetic work something mechanical starts shouting louder & louder at me for attention.

That always seems to be the way with my Merc. Every time I stash some money to spend on the Rover, the Merc goes mechanical and takes it all. Once I get the damn thing fixed again it is getting sold. The Rover is looking a little worse for wear these days because of it.
