I'm thinking about fitting a safari snorkel to my Landy does anyone know will it come with waterproof fittings all the way to the engine or is the bit from the air intake on the side to the engine my department ??

Nope, it's just the snork. The rest is down to to you. It's not too onerous a task, just work methodically. Easy to check too, put something substantial over the end of the snork & yer injun dies on you..........if not, it leaks!

If you're planning on serious wading be sure to consider all the other points of possible ingress too. If you're not sure run a quick search it's been covered a few times in depth (!) recently.

It crossed my mind the other day while sussing snorkles, that if you've taken the engine breather off the air filter and just dangled it down on the chassis rail, then in some circumstances water could get into the engine through it. So it would need extending and routing up the snorkle along with the gearbox and axle breathers.

If you are putting it on for serious wading, make sure you do it right as you will only get one chance before you suffer serious damage to your wallet:D
Dont forget the duckbill on the bottom of the aircleaner, and all the other breather pipes will need extending or connecting into the snorkel, and also the timing case and clutch sealing plugs . It will come with full fitting instructions.
have fun
