Im looking to buy a safari type camping trailer with a folding roof tent etc. Something like a Buzzard Overlander or one of the other manufactures I've found on this site The Overland Forum Offroad Trailer Page

Does anyone have any experiences or useful information and points to watch for etc? Any preferences on makes or indeed does anyone have one for sale? I've only tracked one down so far but would like to be able to compare it with some other models.

Any help greatly appreciated. It's for a new dircetion that my life has suddenly taken, my wife died just after Christmas and I no longer want or need our "posh" caravan. I think one of these little beauties would be more suited to what I'm looking to do over the coming months; messing around in the Sierra Nevada mountains in Spain, plus a bit of sitting by the sea and hopefully catching some nice sunshine.

Once again any help gladly received

Cheers

There is a german company who make them to order, a lot cheaper than any of their british competitors........ and you buy as much or as little as you want from them and you can either take a trip to germany to pick it up or they will deliver....... I cant find the brochure at the moment but will keep looking. I found them at Billing last year and they were thousands of pounds cheaper than anyone else in this country;)

That's a particularly nasty looking vehicle!!!!
I'm aiming for something like this

that will follow my Disco rather than look like I've reversed into someone's caravan.

Shame about the motherboard but with photos like that it obviously just lost the will to function!!

Thanks for the info about the German company doing Echo Trailers. I've seen Echo before, they are South African too but CTC are re-selling them on. Interestingly they want about £3800 for one which would only cost £1700 in South Africa. Might be cheaper to ship one over directly (or just go and pick it up & tow it home!!!!)

Cheers again
