I Was Running With My P 38 And I Saw The Srs Light On On The Dashboard Next To Center Message ...
Any Help Please ?
Note That I Have A Problem With The Alternator ( Lights Are Flashing .... ) .
Thanks

Hi,

When you say you have a alternator fault, which lights are flashing. I only ask as seam to have a intermittent fault with the electrics on my rangie. Sometimes the lcd displays and head lights etc, seam to pulsate with the engine revolutions.

the srs light turned on for 3 seconds roughly .. then it turned off ...
but today i found that the regulator within the alternator is dead ... i think it's the cause of the problem ... because all the light system was flashing ...
any others suggestions ???
i have been told that the regulator is a main electrical problem in the p38 , is it true ???????
regards to all .
charbel .

When I fitted a new engine to my 4.6 earlier this year I decided to get the Starter motor & alternator overhauled by a specialist auto electric company in the U.K. whilst I was over there. When the motor was started, the lights started "Pulsing", checked the alternator and the regulator was shot, this don't help the ECU's with them getting voltage surges so for speed I got a new 100A alternator from Paddocks for just over £100 shipped over-problem solved.

The engine ran, didn't have the fault displays come up but the voltage pulsation got me worried knowing what temperamental gits the P38 electronics are. The headlights were going like an unmarked cop car and the dash lights made it like a mobile disco.

the srs light came again for 4 or 5 seconds roughly , and the lcd screen displays " srs fault " >>> could the low temperature cause this fault ? the temperature was 4 degree c. in my city !!
any idea please ?
last week i changed the pump of the eas system >> could this make that fault ?
