Hi

Just bought a Freelander. The interior is in good shape but all the speaker grilles are rusty. Guess this is something you guys would have come accross before. It looks like they have been painted without a primer (??). Anyway, I tried to prise one away assuming thet were on clips but it started to bend and so I stopped not wanting to ruin it. I'm assuming for the front speaker grilles I'll have to take off the door panels but what about the ones in the rear? Surely I don't have to undo all the interioe trim just to get to these??!!

Anyone got any advise?

Thanks

Vern

The grills are screwed to the rear of the door trim with four screws. You do indeed have to remove the panels to replace / remove.

In the 3dr they are only pushed in with a small tab bent behind the trim.

They all rust  , take them off and spray them. I couldnt get a fawny colour to match so went for gun metal grey/silver.

the new FL1 have gun metal grey speaker covers
