Disco 4 (LR4) Rust on air suspension

So I had a puncture and took it to get fixed. They ask for me to put on high whilst they took the wheel off. I noticed on the air suspension 3 lines in the general dirt. Low normal and high. But as there was no load also the section that would normally never see the light of day.
This section was showing a bit of rust. Now my landie has to work for its living and is used on occasion to launch a boat off a beach so all the uder side is as best waxoyl as I can.

The question is do I clean it up treat it and waxoyl it or not. This is the section that sits under the airbag. Will waxoyl damage the bag.

Or just ignore it in the assumption that it will take a few years to get much worse.

I lightly beat the rust off my d3 bag bases using a small hammer easy job, make sure you get it all so theres no sharp edges.
I did not treat mine in any way, wax might be fine, but also might attract dirt.
