rust hole in rear cross member.

About 2" long 1" wide underneath.
Can it be repaired by welding. If so does anyone out there know of a good repairers close to Brighton/ Worthing.

Ok, let me a bit more specific, MOT next March. I would think this is an immediate fail. What would you guys and gals suggest, throwing cash at the original or replacing completely.
New to defender ownership so a bit green. Be gentle.

photo is way to go , but as long as you got somthing solid to weld to , weld it . If you cant weld and have landy , LEARN or have friendly bank
