rush of air noise

Hi Guys

2.0 L series 1998 xedi

running fine but on acceleration I am getting a wind rush noise from nearside. No loss of power at all.

No noise of reving whislt stationary

Thinkng turbo or a pipe cannot see any leaks any obvious areas to check or any other ideas?

It's the induction system leaking for sure. Check the pipe from turbo to intercooler and intercooler to manifold. They are know to split, mine is on its second top pipe. Also check the unions between pipes and intercooler are sound.

As darmain says, if you can get the pipes off have a good look at them as splits are not always noticeable.
Make sure your hose clips are all tight when you refit the hoses.
Another possibility and hopefully not, is the intercooler itself, some soapy water is great for finding boost leaks.

I had a very similar noise. Turned out to be a split in one of the turbo hoses. It was £18 to replace and the garage I went to, fitted it for free.
