Rubbish. Red diesel is simply normal road fuel that has had a marker dye and certain marker chemicals added to it..
This is correct to my knowledge, where i used to work we ran all our vehicles on red, some were brand new modern engines and had no issues with it.

why not collect to used oil from chippies and restaurants? would get it for free, then clean it.
Would you need to do anything other than filter the bits out?

Yeah I ment fullers earth. Fookin predictive text. My mate baught some from pets at home but it hasn't done anything yet. Tried filtering through it, been told to put it in the derv but its only slightly changed colour in 12 hours
i remember an episode of country file set in ireland, tonnes of contaminated fullers earth was dumped in a forest, it needs alot of the stuff i think and you'll probably lose some diesel which remains soaked in the fullers earth.
