Hi all,
I would love to remove the door tops & rear quarter panels, fold the windscreen down and run around town topless.
Wind & flies in my face! This however is not so easy as I'd hoped, with our 4 door Station Wagon.
So, what are my options? DIY the B-pillars into detachable parts, do the same to the second row doors (which need restoring anyway)? Are B-pillars available with detachable tops? Anybody went the DIY route?
The second row doors are 1 piece, unlike the front doors where the tops are removable. I've discovered Ashtree Land Rover sells new/restored galvanized second row doors. These are rare and come at a hefty price. It also leaves the B-pillars which are one piece.
Scientific research (aka googling lazily from the couch) did not turn up much. Search results get clouded by many a picture with topless subjects but hardly any land rover content)...
Cheers!
