Hello All, can I run my p38 diesel without the ac hoses connected to the evapourator. There is no gas in the system and I have to get to the engine oil cooler as it is leaking and not from the hoses. I was just have a spare bit of time and thought I could at least take of the cooler to get at the rest but will not be able to complete in one go. Much appreciate your help.

I would seal the ends of the hose's to keep any crap out and leave the A/C switched off. if you leave the compressor running it will probably seize because it will pump it's oil out.
Is there a fuse for the ac that I can remove or just switch it so the light is on on the switch.

If there is no gas, the compressor will not run.
