Just done Rudland Rigg today from Ingelby Greenhow over to Kirbymoorside, saw lots of others out today, good to see you all.:)

You was only a few miles from me!

Rigg's lovely when the sun shines, you can get some great pictures looking out over towards middlesbrough, what was it like up there when you went?

Theres a little ford in Ingleby Greenhow, as you come into the village theres that strange sign saying 'unsuitable for motor vehicles' - good place to spash some mud up the sides ;)!!

When our disco is back on the road we might have to see about having a laning trip some time if that is of any interest, theres a few over this way that we've done single vehicle, only one where we got stuck, had to ring a friend to pull us out - you will have come past his farm going down to Kirkbymoorside - small world eh?.

What vehicle where you in?

We went up in the freelander v6 we had at the time at start of feb when all the deep ruts had frozen. Had to pull a suzuki out backwards (next time I will have a camera if not a video camera :)) because he thought following the ruts was a good idea! We drove to one side of the ruts with me as watcher to look out for the ditches at the side. We got as far as the steps at north end which at the time where sheet ice so we thought that it was not a good idea to take a mostly anything down let alone a freelander!

Went up a few times in the previous disco in the middle of last summer, the few days we went up were about the hottest we had last year, apart from one where it was absolubtly ****ing it down - I have some pictures of us in the quarry pit just before you reach the kirkby end, nothing extreme but it was rather wet that day.

Oh and before any of you say anything about not straying off the track, the North York Moors guy was on his way up in one of the defenders when we came down, so we asked him nicely if anyone would mind if we went in the pit and took a few photos of us going over the smaller hills in there, all he said was 'if you break your vehicle its your own fault'. And also it is marked on the OS map as being part of the rigg now, or so I have been told.

I was not driving in these photos (because it's illegal for me to do so on the public highway ), that is my older brother driving.

will post on here next time we go, suppose the views would have been nice if it had not been hail stoning and snowing, was freezing but still a good challenge on greenhow bank. went up in a disco 2 in white:doh: it has a winch on so we would have got up no matter what.
