Hi
Recently bought a k reg 3.9 vogue se with a few electric gremlins which i'm trying to sort 1 by 1 with the 1st being the passanger seat is right back and won't come forward the back tilts back and fort and the hight goes up and down i've had a look to day and can't see much with the seat in situ so need to remove it but can't as the seat is right back obscuring the bolts is there anyway of manually moving the seat forward ?

thanks in advance for any help or suggestions

(oh and get ready for loads more questions on problems):)

First try spraying contact cleaner into the switch box and work the levers back and forth.

If that will not cure it then you can remove the cable from the motor end and insert it into a variable speed drill with a reverse function and move the seat forward. You will need small arms and hands though. I have done this several times on Range Rovers.

take the switch box apart carefully and clean all the contacts, its fiddly and a pain but very do able, if not send me a pm, i have a newish switch i can sell you

easiest way to tell is do you have airbags?

No airbags so i guess its not a soft dash

will try the other suggestions of fuses and cleaning switchs and let you all know how it goes

then it'll be ready for the next problem ;)
