With reference to the plastic “black ball”
Which I believe has the technical term vacuum reservoir for the heater control. Could anyone please tell me the correct plumbing for it? Mine was loose and disconnected , I’ve located an vac hose from the heater control but I’m not sure where the other goes. I’ve googled the hell out of it but not such diagrams. Thanks

Yes that’s the bit. I just can’t work out where the thicker of the vacuum hoses go , the thin one goes through the bulkhead to the heater control. Any ideas ? I can’t find a complete system diagram with this part

Thanks for finding those I appreciate it. pipe number 3 is the one I can’t seem to find where it goes. Obviously a vacuum off of somewhere but I can see any available ports

Apologises asking , ur engine , is it a 3.9 V8 plse , thks

This isn’t any good is it

on the left side there are two vacume ports...the front goes to the vacume ball located at the front right side behind the headlight...the second port goes to the canester directly across on the left side over wheel well
the top by the intake hose is a port...it goes to the vacume advance on the distributor
and the pvc hose has two ports the large goes under the vacume advance hose and the other small hose at the y...goes to the front right of the intake...

Perfect I’ll have a good look tomorrow. Funnily enough from the vacuum ball side I wouldn’t have noticed the vac port off the drivers side of plenum chamber. I Should have looked further. Thanks again

Another case of 'if it works, modify it & bugger it up'
My '85 had a simple lever to operate the flap, from the '86 model year LR came up with this abomination presumably in the name of 'improvement'

Someone had attached the port 5 on the diagram Hose to a bolt on the air flow meter, I couldn’t believe it , confused the hell out of me . But it seems your info was correct. Thanks for your help gstuart
