I have just bought a RRC 1994 200TDi Vogue. I do not have any FOB's just 2 keys. I left the car and battery went flat. I have tried to jump start but alarm sounds and no ignition. I have charged battery and tried again - alarm sound and no ignition. Anyone know the correct procedure or any suggestions to get over this problem? Also Where do I find alarm ECU?
Thanks

I had the same problem a while ago or at least similar. There is a way to reset the system with your key in the ignition but you'll have to search the forum or use Google because I can't remember what the system was..!!! Sorry about that, but at least there is hope.

EKA & key sync but not sure how you will fare with no fob
If you don't have the EKA ask dealer with V5 in hand and it should be free
Look in the hand book

First thing first, is it a soft dash model or last of the hard dashes?

Assuming the former, second question - do you have a small socket with electrical connectors on the front face of the inside of the armrest/cubby box?

If so, this means you have the 'Conlog Cat 1' alarm/immobiliser, so being Thatcham-approved it is gonna be a bugger to get around it, probably needs removing - would cost circa £150 I think.

If you don't have this socket in the armrest it is likelt the standard alarm/immobiliser from LR (or an aftermarket item). LR should be able to tell you exactly what alarm was fitted from new if you go in with the reg and VIN number.

If an LR fitted unit then removal might be your easiest fix, if aftermarket you stand some chance of getting replacment fobs.

Good luck!

RR is not a soft dash model, and as far as I can tell its a standard LR fitted unit. As I locked it with the key (no Fob available) I would have assumed there was a way of turning it off with the key - not found one yet. I was told there may be a company repairing ECM's or replacing them - has any one heard or got experience of them? Thanks

Hello

I used these guys "http://www.remotekey.co.uk/" to get a second key fob for a 93 RRC. They were very helpful.
