Classic RRC 94 Aluminium upper tailgate kit

Hi, I've just bought this replacement kit from Famous Four but the photocopied instructions are woeful. Has anyone fitted one of these? I'm wondering how difficult it is as I can't start it until I know i can finish it before needing the car again! Looked on youtube but cant see anything.

Fitted one of theirs to my '86 RRC years ago.
Can't remember what the instructions were like but it wasn't difficult.
I'd prefer stainless steel bolts/screws etc.
Used IIRC dumdum to seal round the glass.
The worrying part was removing the old frame from the glass. Used a hacksaw to cut it & remove in pieces but be very careful not to hit the glass itself.
I'd suggest it you need to use heat to undo old fasteners that you remove the glass first.
These flex quite a lot more than the original steel item & should be closed by pressing on the lower corners, not just by the centre handle.

Advisable, even with the original steel tailgate.

Fitted one last year, was like an Ikea piece of furniture without a proper plan. We figured it out by toying around with the pieces until it looked right. Wr had two issues, so: Some bolts around the handle were too short and it leaked during rain. Some new bolts and extra Sikaflex solved that.
It still doesn't close properly, but that is more the closing mechanism than the frame.

Ah, I have the impression it is a little bit wider on the bottom then the original one.

We fitted it to 1982 MY.
