RR Vogue 4.4 TDV8, cranking but no start

Hi all,
We have here a 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8, driving today and heard a humming noise, sounded like it was coming from radio, however turned radio down and wasn’t that. Carried on driving and noise stopped. After turning of engine for 5 minutes tried to restart but it wont start up. Cranking really well but nothing happening!

Any suggestions much appreciated,

After putting 2 gallons of Diesel in today just for the hell of it. (already had half a tank of fuel). it fired straight up.
thinking it’s a fuel sensor issue.

Sounds like one of the fuel transfer pumps has packed up.

2sensors in the tank, will look at what I have tomorrow.

For any interested peeps.
Take note of the last bit on page 7, If somebody has been in it before and messed up you could read plenty of fuel when really you have none

I would suggest filling the tank and see how much it actually takes compared to what it looks like it should take on the gauge.
