RR Sat-Nav has got Lost!!

Im having some issues with my 06 Vogue at the moment and wondered if anyone had any advice, or knew of a fault in the system.

For the last few weeks the satnav shows the position as somewhere off the donegal coast! I have discovered that you can re-calibrate the position on the map, and orientate the arrow to match the vehicle position, and it works fine for a while. After about an hours driving it seems to doze off and loose track of where the vehicle is!

Has anyone got any (sensible) advice?

sounds like the gps reciever could be loose or something, dunno where it is tho, is there anyway of viewing the data on the screen, see if it changes, maybe verify the data with a standalone sat nav.

mind you it should still be under warranty shouldnt it?? if it is go and complaint the **** outta yerself at the dealers, if they ask how you found em, tell em you used a map tho!!!

Lovely chaps at LR tell me the GPS is fooked, and the vehicle is a month out of warranty!!

why is it its always a month out of warrenty when anything expensive foooks its self.

You may well be screwed with your sat nav if you did not report it before warranty expired. But just to let everyone know. IF you have a fault and you take it in under warranty for repair and it fails again after the vehicle warranty expires. The repaired part is still under warranty for twelve months from date of repair. Or if it is an on going problem reported before expiry, it must still be rectified under warranty even if the warranty has run out.

Could be as simple as a bad connection to the GPS aerial.

Correct, i think i would be checking that out first before splashing out on anything else.
