Hi,

Swapped the V8 in my truck from a 92 3.9 efi from the range rover to a 96 disco 3.9 serpentine efi one. The previous engine wouldn't run but it had done 200,000 miles and the serp one had done half that and i knew it runs so i swapped that in.

The problem before hand was that it just kept over fueling, regardless of what I did.
When I put the replacement in I couldn't get it to go as well. It has a spark, and it has fuel going in so it has to be something electrical. I have fiddled with the timing and got it so it started to fire, but then today it just stopped. I had it running on easy start so I have to assume the ignition system is good? but it has flooded it self twice again so i am guessing injector problems. so i pulled a injector plug out and both feeds are live. I dont know if this is correct but it seemed wrong to me. I am hoping it is a simple fix as i have a race with it in two weeks and have plenty to do!

also what could cause it to over fuel in the electrical system that would not be connected to the engine directly e.g. ecu?
