rough running disco

managed to get my disco running first ever time i set the timing on any engine but its running very rough and smoking like hell the two timing marks are bang on so is it the pump timing

what engine

guessing its a tdi
are you sure the injector pump is set right and for what reasen are you reseting it and what colour is the smoke

take it he was a total no show then m8, its a 200tdi.
sounds like the pump timing is out

its done i had to do it myself the pump was 360 degrees out plus one tooth on the belt but the guy has ruined my pump housing as i cant get it to stop leaking
