rotten rear end

Hi again,
I have discovered serious rot from the plate the rear lower door fixes to, to the near by body mountings. Weldiing a full steel plate under seems the only option. Has anyone else had to cure this rotten problem on a classic before?- your comments welcome!

Check here under "rear cross-member" to see if it's the part you need:

There are other after-market parts to replace rotten parts of the body.
