Rad replaced

Runs ropey...

Now the carbs are sorted on Percy I've traced another fault.

I got him running real nice.... Placed in reverse and the revs dropped...
it's an auto so this is to be expected.

Released the handbrake and the revs drop further still... foot on the
footbrake...odd me thinks. Keep foor on foot brake and reapply handbrake,
revs pick up... wtf?.. try again... same...remove centre seat base plate and
repeat experiment looking at drive train... The drive train moved a fraction
when the handbrake was applied.

Take a look under the bonnet and scratch head.....

Then it dawned on me that attaching the bracket for the acelerator cable to
the carbs via a bracket wasn't a good idea.. Each time the engine moves a
minute amount the throttle set up is sensitive enough to raise / drop the
revs quite a bit.

Off out to chop up a new bracket and mount it on the bulkhead at the pedal
end.

Doh!

Ticking over sounds lovely .. If I think on I'll do another home movie later
ron. Percy is like a new motor.
