Good morning all.
My otherwise perfect (ha!) 2.5 DT Auto has a vibration at tickover. Its from the roof itself, not the liner which is fine. When I take the interior light cluster out I can reach in and see that there is a crossmember about a foot or so back. This seems to have sticky pads on parts of it. Are these meant to be stuck on to the inside of the roof as well? Is this why the roof vibrates, because these have come apart? I'm obviously not keen on taking the whole liner out...

VERY unusual for these to give way. A tube of windscreen sealant or similar could sort you out but I'd have a careful look for any accident damage/repair, doors not quite fitting correctly and the like.

Dog is probably the bonding has come adrift it it unusual but if the fitter didn't squirt enough in they shrink over time heat from the sun and general vibrations could make it come adrift .
