Disco 3 (LR3) Roof rack

Hi All

I am looking at going on holiday in France next year and will have 6 of us in the Disco. I was looking at putting a roof box on the Disco but then thought maybe raised sided roof rack would give more storage space.
Has anyone experience with roof racks on a Disco 3?

Train or ferry? both have height restrictions, so you may be limited to the ferry in with the trucks.
Wind noise would be my biggest concern/annoyance.
Iirc you could get a deflector for the fromt of the rack to cut down on wind noise.

That’s a good point we would be looking to go on the train so would need to check the height.

just looked ok up to 4.2mtrs on Eurotunnel

I have not been for years now, and we always used to use the ferry, then one day tried the train, and worked out we could be 100 miles further in France by the time the ferry docked!
