Roof rack trim - removal for leak fixing?

Hi Guys,

I've actually used the search and found something useful! It seems that my new water leak might be caused by a dried out seam under the roof rack strip. The suggested solution seems to be to remove the trim and reseal it the seam.

But how does the trim come off? Does it just lift out? Will the leaky bit be obvious?

from memory it un clips with gentle jiggling I think, just go steady-mine leaked the same way and tracked to some unusual places

from memory the panels meet at a seam which you can very carefully see from removing door rubber and looking behind headlining- mine capillary actioned to by door seal.

long time ago, but the roof rack mounting points allow you to peer inside- just go steady as I can't remember if nylon or metal clips.
