Roof rack mounting for spare wheel

I would like to put a spare on the roof rack but can't find a carrier that will fit onto my roof rack. It's a Land Rover tubular roof rack and most of the carriers I have seen don't seem to be right for it, any ideas?

I know I can modify a standard rear door one or one of the many I have seen but hoped there was one specifically for the tubular type racks.

What about getting a 'normal' rear door carrier and fastening that to your rack somehow, just a thought:confused::confused:

That is something I have thought of and failing finding a specific one for a tubular rack I think I will go down that route. They are half the price and I like the idea of having the three nuts and ability to use locking wheel nuts to secure.

Where abouts are you?? Fill in your location fella, a rear door carrier is the sort of thing someone might have lying about;);););)

Very kind, I have had a look at the disco ones and they look the same as the one on my rear door. Mine is a TD5, did they change?

I am keeping one on the back door as well, just starting to get ready for a bit of a trip later in the year. Not sure where yet.
