Bought on a whim, I do stuff like that, locally back in Feb 2019. 4 previous owners, 145k with a really good service history and almost fault free at that point and for a few weeks afterwards. Meet Ronnie. My L322 TD6 HSE. He's very quickly become my daily and there's nothing he or I won't tackle. He's not been totally reliable and has needed a few repairs along the way, but he's never left me stranded and is regarded much like that favourite dog which misbehaves sometimes but is otherwise a faithful friend whom you wouldn't be without.

He wasn't expensive to buy at 15 years old and the AA breakdown insurance cover has taken care of the unexpected repair bills. That really was a good bit of business taking that cover and something I highly recommend! Cheers all, what a great place this is. Real enthusiasts helping others keep their Land Rovers roving. Long may that continue. John.

Welcome...nice intro and good looking vehicle....any questions and advice you want youll get bucket loads in the Rangerover section...

Jings, not been on here for a while, life and that, ken. Hope you good folks are all well and staying sane what with 2020 and that, ken.

Anyway, Ronnie is gone. Sold on and now living in deepest Aberdeenshire which is where he came from originally, funny that. So what do you replace a Range Rover with?

Another one, obs. Meet Reggie. 2009 TDV8 Vogue. Ronnie's evil(er) brother. He's a 3 owner car, just run in at 135k, bought from a really nice chap in the Cotswolds. No trailer queen, but runs like a well fed kitten and I have to say, a real step UP from a TD6. Bit more in VED, yes, but well worth it. I'm still servicing it masell, saving the Indy for the big jobs, which I hope are few and far between.

Range Rovers. Happliy rusting away since 1970. You'll note the cill covers are off for corrosion removal and wayoylling. :) You'll also note the type 502 LR405 wheels. I just fitted them the other day. Doesn't half make a difference to these trucks running 20s.

Oh yeah the background. That's not my back garden; I was viting my grandparents grave as the headstone needs some TLC and thought. Photo op! lol

Nice mate, though you are too attached by the look of things, most take them to the scrap yard at the end not the grave yard :D:D;) .
Great looking motor:)

The gearbox could go bang. The engine could lose a cylinder through its side. The engine could seize. The air bags could all go oft. The hair suspension could pack up or p*ss itself. The air bags could pop. The electrics could go haywire. Dash error lights could resemble a disco. It might refuse to unlock and let you int. Turbo could snap itself. Battery might go flat. ;)
