Jeez Pickup, lighten up matey, you'll end up having a heart attack. Were only having a laugh maybe our sense of humour doesn't travel accross water. I bet even the poster whoever it was had a laugh at some of the comments.

I bet you earn your living in education or some sort of advisory service.

point A1/C he had the cage,he had the veeehickill, and i'm sure if he didn't already have a tape measure he could have got one. or maybe he hasn't done tape measuring at collage yet.
point A1/D i never said i trusted my son to do it.. he did it cos he wanted to learn and i kept a check on him inbetween bongs and cans. so i was only trusting my self to ensure he did it right. which in my expert opinion is a damm sight better than trusting it to some ****wit in a garage.
point A1/D,E and F
who asked you anyway?

Gentlemen, i do realise that alot of the stuff here is said in jest, however I think that the fact that Project90 has not posted again, might mean that he did not. I do feel that the comments at the begining would be taken the wrong way. Here is a lad that was putting out a request for help and he got nothing. I hope that he does come back and reads all that has gone on with this thread so that he might understand the nature of a lot of the comments. That being said I also hope that this experience does not make him shy to post on either this forum or another forum if he needs advice or help. You guys have a good sense of humour and I can understand it (although it is quite different than a lot of the humour here), and I do enjoy reading all of it (yes I read this forum daily, even though I do not post all that regularily). Oh and by the way I am not an educator, I am a trim carpenter by trade. I realise that this forum is more about banter than actual help most of the time (new people may not realise this and take the jokes the wrong way). As I say, I hope that the gentleman that started this post was not offended too bad and that he found the info he needed somewhere.

have you actually read the original post? after allowing for the crap spilling it says "it seems too small and it looks like it will fit" what does that mean?

I have never commented on his grammar or sentence structure, nor have I said that all his posts made perfect sense. However I think what he was asking was how tight to the body is an external roll cage supposed to be. I think that was a fair question (mind you could have been worded better, but unfortunately they teach wierd english at colleges...). Not having a roll cage, nor wanting one, I have no clue (as with a lot of things in life...)

this may surprise you but it seems a lot of people here don't think it made any sense never mind perfect sense.
is it indeed an external cage or are you just assuming that because of the reply about external cages?

Trim Carpenter .... is that first fix, second fix, finisher, snagger or cabinet maker?

Whichever, it does seem to make you a pompous pratt.

No .... LoI. Got back in and found that between you and PickUpRover the forum gestapo have arrived and decided to tell us how to think, behave and post.

Would never tell somebody how to post, was just pointing out some points. Just voicing my opion. That is the wonderful thing about living in free societies, I can say what I think and you can prattle on what ever way you see fit to make your existance seem meaningful....:D
