can anyone shed any light on the following problem,2001 x reg td5 auto
72.000 miles,between 50 and 60 mph i can hear a droning noise that i think is coming from the front nearside,i have had the wheel bearings checked out and the guys at the garage cannot find anything obvious,they also say the drive shaft is ok,the noise seems to be less obvious after 65mph,i can only discribe the noise as rumbling vibration,just had 2 brand new tyres fitted to front and still this damm noise persists,as someone who is not very mechanically minded i would be grateful if anyone can help??? or do i just stick my pink floyd cd in the stereo and turn it up

Just check around the trim and wheelflaps etc etc.

We had a loose inner wheel arch protector which drummed horribly at speed, but looked and felt fine when stationary.
