Morning all,

Thinking of getting a set of Rocky Mountain parabolic spring kit. Would you recommend?

Also looking at getting their full alloy door tops. Has anyone got them, are they worth the money??

Also anyone know of salvage/breakers yards in Cornwall?

Thanks all

GB springs do some very good parabolics and cheaper than Rock mountain who had issues with replacement bushes recently now resolved I believe

quality wise i can't actually compare with anything else and i haven't finished the project, but i think the springs are pretty well made. and the service was very good from rocky mountain.

I like the idea of the door tops, but i bought ****part steel ones and painted them for less than £70, so can't justify £250 a pair

The sliding front glass is appealing, though What would appeal more is if they made them with the WOLF style glass like these

Regards car breakers, there are 2 that I know of, they are just past Redruth at Carnon Downs. both on the same road, one is at the end of the road at the T junction, the other is a little further down the same road and you ave to drive through a tyre recyclers. Both are self help jobs so take a hammer, some penetrant, a jack and a good toolkit! Both are very resonable price wise.

I bought the RM Series door tops. Very good quality and the benefit of both sides of the glass sliding open....handy for mirror adjustment / access..

No wobbling and seal well. No more rust too. Glass has plastic drain channels.

Costly perhaps, but a fit and forget part.

Another vote for GB Springs - really great kit and good prices, very helpful chap on the phone too...

I have fitted 2 sets of RM parabolic springs, neither mate was happy with the way the series sat after a short while, all fitted as should be is, torqued up with weight on etc....
RM supplied replacement spring to each chap. Problem solved after this.
Separately one of the lads bought their disc brake kit and after a short time one of the caliper adaptors broke!
I would not recommend RM.
