Rock/tree slider help please :)

Just looking at getting a pair of sliders for my disco one but noticed it doesn't have side steps, can I still fit them? Do I have to weld or bolt or both?
Thanks for any help / advice as I'm new to land rovers, 4x4s and off roading.

Just had a better look and noticed the sills are completely rotted on drivers side and starting on the passenger side can they be replaced with sliders? Thanks again

i replaced sills with 120x60x5 box on mums 300tdi.
did mine with 50x100x5, could use smaller as im replacing a lot of the floor andmaking body mounts to it will fit. then welded 90x90x5 box to the outside of the sill, a bit lower. solid sills and rock sliders cheap

replace your sills with box section thats the rock slider part sorted, when making these weld your tree sliders to them...there are threads and lots of info on here, if you buy tree sliders they will be bolt on parts but you need to drill your sills.
