Got up this morning to take dogs out, thought something doesn't look right. Someone had robbed my LED indicators, brake & side lights the grill & light surrounds.
Fitted my old lights back on, then whilst talking to a neighbour he said what was in them bolt holes. It was only then I realised that my ladder and roof rack has gone as well. Probably lucky to still have the doors ! I had my disclock on which may have saved me losing it altogether.
Another defender owner will probably think themselves lucky to get a bargain on e-bay.
Any ideas on security bolts, screws etc, feeling gutted. IMG_1866.JPG

Can't have anything nice these days.... Indicators grill and ladders.... How odd......
Easy stuff to take, lights and grille just held on by a few screws, roof rack & ladder a bit more difficult but still just a few bolts. Annoying that it must have been planned and that some scum have been discussing when and what they were going to do. LED lights £100, Grille £200, Patriot roof rack £900 total £1200 being sold for £600 ? Going to look into maybe filling allen bolt heads with silicon as Freelance so kindly mentioned above could be doors next

Apologies, but there does seem to be this mentality with scum bags at the moment, if they can't take the whole vehicle they remove bits, just to rub your nose in it, and state, " I was here and I can do what I like!"
We are all ****ed off with it!

Turns your stomach.
They must have crept out of a swamp somewhere, under the cover of night. They'll be back in there now, hiding in the slime, slagging each other off and stabbing each other in the back. What an existence.

Think I was just a bit overly sensitive due to being as you say ****ed off with it ! Cheers John

Meanwhile...............light years away......... at the other end of the spectrum............ I'm rebuilding my engine and didn't have a clutch alignment tool. A member on here sent me a PM to say they had one they didn't need. Next day it was at my house as they'd Fed Ex'd it to me! Awesome :) It's not so much the money, it's the act. Two polar opposite acts.

I feel for you mate...Rubs me raw when someone just walks up and takes away stuff you payed hard cold cash for. After someone tried several times to to nick the spare wheel on my disco a couple of years back, went ahead and bought a cheapo alarm system with a shock sensor on the bay. Threw away the siren that was supplied with it and hooked it up up to the horns, now with it turned on, even a heavy breeze gets it make enough noise for the deaf to hear.... As well, considering the LED lights practically last forever, you can just fill in the screw holes with body filler or something of the sort.

Well worth greasing stuff up so if they try they get covered and they may leave fingerprints, also stamp/engrave your reg number all over the place.

Smartwater always seem to have special deals going on with lifetime registration for 15/20 quid.

So sorry to learn of your situation. Someone tried to rip of the "eye lid" off one of my rear wheels. All that they managed was to break a few of the plastic fixings, and dent the lower side panel beneath the passenger door, which, I assume, they used there foot against for leverage. They didn't succeed, so they sprayed a couple of sachet of tomato ketchup on each side of the car to make a big Red Cross :(. Just plain stupid, probably young fellows with nothing better to do. Nothing like your and I feel for you

What do the scum bags have to fear????? cops won't do anything and the owner if he/she does anything they go to jail. So the scum bags win and you lose.
