Its ok the landy is on a very slight slope so probably is ok but will clear the garage out from doing the garage doors and get it on the flat and re-check as i did everything the instructions said to do.

It just surprises me the Roamerdrive relies on splash lubrication from the transfer gears.
Bothers me as well as the oil fitted in the actual roamer drive has no means of being checked and if a seal fails how do you know other than transfer level has gone up. Also common mode of failure is rear gearbox oil seal failure which will allow EP 90 to leak from gearbox into the different oil.

It does have a filler bung on the side, you fill it via that and then that same reserve is kept topped up by splash. Nothing to stop you checking level through the filler bung if you want to. The overdrive holds half a litre and there is a drain plug fitted as well.

The oil in the overdrive isn't "sealed" in, you only add the initial amount to ensure its not dry at start-up, you can in fact fill the transfer box through the overdrive as the front isn't sealed and is open to the rest of the transfer box, the level is set by the casing acting as a weir. When running the oil supply in the overdrive is constantly re supplied from the oil in the transfer box, the overdrive input shaft also has a scroll machined into it to try and retain oil in the overdrive. You need to remember that each meshing gear pair in the transfer box are very effective oil pumps.

Yes Son bought a service kit for his Disco 2 a few weeks ago which came with an angled funnel which was very handy for filling the Roamerdrive and tbh it would make filling the transfer box and overdrive up through the overdrive easier rather than remove the new Roamerdrive filler plug in cover :D
