road trip & green laning around lake district

hi all
i am planning a road trip to the lake district area during christmas holidays
are there any easy lanes around the area that i can drive on my own?? dont wanna do the hard ones as i will be on my own
also, any suggestions for good scenery appreciated

You might want to rethink the doing it on your own! We've got ice and possibly a bit of snow forecast up here!! I'd go with you if I wasn't working!!

anything else i should be aware of ?

there's loads of lanes, if you look on the web, but if you get stuck and your on your own, who you gonna call? weather ain't that bad thou, been damp mainly, but watch out for mountain bikers! busy time christmas! good luck

hey i just came back now from the lake district.. what a scenery and i am amazed how many lanes around the area!
did couple of lanes which wasnt muddy, more like "rocky" but did not wanna risk it too much tbh
i will post up some pictures later but you guys are really lucky, i am sure there are really muddy and tuff ones there too.
by the way, i dont know what i would do if i got stuck !!!

very few pictures as i was the driver, gate b**ch as well as cameraman...i am uploading a video on youtube which will be posted here soon.
there was heavy snow at stoke on the way back (around 7-8 pm), am sure few people over there will be out laning over the weekend

glad you had a good time! the terrain can go from one to the other on certain parts,
