Hi all,

We're new owners of a 2001 Range Rover 4.0 Bordeaux & are currently having nightmares with overnight battery drain. After lots of callouts to the RAC (who were useless) we've researched on here and realise it's the radio frequency thing that's interfering and draining the battery - we live right by Blackpool Airport which apparently doesn't help!

So all we need to do is disconnect the RF receiver as a temporary measure until we get it replaced with this new one so that we can actually start the car. BUT we are complete novices and haven't a clue where to start. Can someone tell us in the most layman of terms where to locate this rf receiver and how to locate it.

Any help would be really really appreciated!

Thanks!

wow, thank you so much. We've managed to do it we think. We took out the blue wire going up the window. Now it's a case of waiting til the morning and seeing if it's worked. Thanks for your help.

Well, woke up this morning and it was as flat as a pancake again. Not sure if the battery was so low that it died overnight again or if we've not fixed the problem. Any other ideas as to why it may be draining overnight all the time? Had the battery and alternator tested and they are both fine with nothing apparently draining it. Help!
