Hi. I’m the lucky owner of two landrovers - a 1950 series 1 and a recently purchased 2011 2.4 110 utility.
The 110 has a problem with the reversing light (I know, it couldn't be a reversing light on a series 1).
Initially the reversing light wasn’t working. I’ve changed the switch on the gearbox and now the light works but only if I push the gear lever really hard to the left.
It’s a mechanical problem. The switch requires something to press on the ball in the end of the switch that then creates a circuit to the light. Presumably whatever presses on the switch is not pressing hard enough as the gear lever selects reverse.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Anyone got a diagram of the gear-lever and switch?
Thanks
