Started with a 3.5 range rover years ago coverted it to a italian 2.4 diesel + 5 speed box 37mpg! then onto a 3.9 range rover converted to lpg, then biggest mistake sold it bought a !ercedes ml 320 yuk yuk yuk.
Now have a 1996 Discovery 300tdi which I am refurbishing and a Gilbern Invader mk2 boys toy (welsh car).

96 was a good year for D1s, they really rotted out, hope you got a good welder

Used to be a mechanic etc (not a fitter) so If I can't buy it I can make it, Mig/arc compressers Devibiss guns you name I have it haha.

Needing to replace the rear crossmember on my 1996 disco have bought the new xmember STC1066 but do you really need to support the body or is that overkill as it is suported in other places?
